During the 4months holiday after O'level exam, i wanted to venture out of my comfort zone and taste how the working life is. It was went i started working at a shoe shop. It was then i realized that it wasn't easy, especially working in a shoe shop. The fact that you have to climb to take the shoe wasn't the worst. The worst thing to happen is when you get a very fussy customer. I encountered a lot of them but there's one that i really cannot forget. What makes it more unforgettable is that it happened during my first few days of working.
This woman looked very well off, so when she ask me to take a few shoes of her size,i thought maybe she will end buying all. After all the tough climbing & finally getting the shoes that she wanted of her size, i went to serve her, only to realize that she has more shoes in her hands. While different shoes have different cuttings, there's some shoes that she finds it either tight or too loose that she asked me to get one size bigger and one size smaller respectively.
After endless climbing on my side, while the customer tried almost up to 15 shoes, guess what, she only bought one! & instead of saying sorry for troubling me, she ended up complaining to me why she didnt't get the other 14 shoes with reasons such as, ' the heels is damn high! how to walk?', " why the heels like not stable, so shaky shaky?' I really thought my heart going to explode. I was damn pissed that i entered the store & started cursing her. not until my manager came to me & say, ' We are working in the service sector. No matter how piss you are,no matter how troublesome your customer is, CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT.'
